NIOSH Essential Elements – Guide for employers to reduce workplace hazards and promote worker health and well-being. Includes both guiding principles and practical directions for implementing effective programs through a set of 20 components divided into four areas: Organizational Culture and Leadership; Program Design; Program Implementation and Resources; and Program Evaluation.
The Whole Worker: Guidelines for Integrating Occupational Health and Safety with Workplace Wellness Programs: This booklet offers educational materials with guidelines for integrating occupational safety and health with workplace health promotion programs. This work is based on the content, principles, and resources introduced during a roundtable discussion convened by the Commission on Health and Safety and Workers’ Compensation in the California Department of Industrial Relations.
SafeWell Practice Guidelines– Developed by the Harvard Center for Work, Health & Well-being, these guidelines provide a model, strategies, and resources for integrated approaches to worker health. Included are descriptions of organizational processes, selected concrete tools, and links to other existing tools and resources to build, implement, and evaluate comprehensive worksite health programs.
