Abstract provided by PI: The results of this research and analysis will inform development of a prevention and wellness module as a model for Iowa health exchange and CO-OP plans offered for small to medium sized businesses. SPPG will conduct secondary research into: 1) requirements of the PPACA relating to wellness and prevention initiatives tied to employers, 2) a review of summary papers related to prevention, wellness, and state-developed exchanges and CO-OPs, 3) a review of the status of Iowa’s exchange and CO-OP development, and 4) a review of the status of other key states which may provide useful information for Iowa’s development. A summary report of these findings will be a stand-alone product. SPPG will work closely with HWCE in applying the findings of the secondary research to develop a wellness and prevention module for small- and medium-sized businesses for CO-OP and Exchange plans.
