Congratulations Lisa Henning!

After more than 40 years of service with the Nebraska Safety Council, Laurie Klosterboer will soon retire from her position as executive director. We are delighted to announce that Lisa Henning, Director of WorkWell, will be stepping up to lead the Nebraska Safety Council.
“We are thrilled that Lisa has accepted the position of executive director,” says Joanne Bartels, president of the Board of Directors for the Nebraska Safety Council. “She has an unwavering passion for wellness and safety, proven leadership, and strategic vision to lead the organization.”
Lisa has almost 30 years of experience in corporate wellness and prevention, having led WorkWell for 22 years. She has received various awards for her work throughout the years, including the Governor’s Excellence in Leadership Recognition by Governor Dave Heineman in 2012, Healthy Innovation Award Program Finalist by Center for Disease Control in 2011, and LiveHealthy Nebraska Star Award by Nebraska Sports Council in 2011.
“I am excited and honored to be selected as the executive director of the Nebraska Safety Council,” says Lisa. “Our highly capable team will continue to provide excellent services to our members and the state. I would like to thank Laurie Klosterboer for her outstanding leadership and commitment to the safety and health of our citizens for 40 years.”
