The HWCE seeks applications from community-based organizations to develop approaches, methods and documentation for implementing or evaluating a TWH Employer Program among small employers. A TWH Employer Program is an integrated occupational safety and workplace wellness program as evidenced by the framework in Figure 1 on the last page of this announcement. Projects that (1) further develop criteria or indicator metrics that characterize TWH Employer Programs, or (2) develop products or services that engage small employers in TWH activities are highly desired. Projects that address implementation and evaluation across multiple (3 or more) employers of various size categories (<20, 20-50, 51-100) and/or industry sectors are also desirable.
Eigibility: Any public or private health care provider organization or employer organization interested in employee health protection and promotion and possessing the skills, knowledge, and resources necessary to carry out their proposed project is invited to respond to this RFP. Such organizations may include for profit, non-profit, and public organizations including units of local or state government and faith- or other community-based organizations. Priority will be given to applications from Iowa organizations or organizations which provide health care services to Iowa employees. Organizations that serve under-represented racial and ethnic groups, as well as organizations serving those with disabilities, are especially encouraged to apply. Questions about eligibility should be directed to Kevin Kelly (kevin-kelly@uiowa.edu; 319-335-4755).
